What you'll be doing
Analyze and map end-to-end workflows for Operations and Support teams, identifying automation opportunities and optimization points to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
Design, build, and deploy intelligent automation workflows in n8n that integrate with our support systems, CRM, and operational tools to streamline processes and reduce manual work.
Leverage AI tools including Exa for intelligent search, Pinecone for vector databases, and Hex for data analysis to build context-aware automation solutions.
Develop custom scripts using JavaScript and Python to create data transformations, API integrations, and workflow logic that connects disparate systems seamlessly.
Collaborate closely with Operations and Support teams to understand pain points, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Model and document data structures, workflow dependencies, and system integrations to create a comprehensive knowledge base for automation initiatives.
Monitor and analyze automation performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks and continuously iterating to improve workflow efficiency and accuracy.
Implement AI-powered solutions for ticket routing, response suggestion, knowledge base search, and customer inquiry classification to enhance support quality.
Work with the Head of AI to establish best practices for workflow automation and contribute to Pemo's broader AI strategy.
Who we are looking for
A technical problem-solver with 3-5+ years of experience in automation engineering, data analysis, or operations analytics, with strong engineering fundamentals.
Proficient in JavaScript and Python programming, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code for integrations, data processing, and workflow automation.
Hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms, particularly n8n, or similar tools like Zapier, Make, or Temporal.
Familiarity with AI/ML tools and platforms including Exa (intelligent search), Pinecone (vector databases), Hex (data analytics), or comparable technologies.
Strong understanding of API integrations, webhooks, and data flow architecture across multiple systems and platforms.
Experience working with support and operations systems such as Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, or similar customer service platforms is a plus.
Skilled at data modeling and workflow mapping, with the ability to visualize complex processes and identify improvement opportunities.
Analytical mindset with experience in defining success metrics, tracking KPIs, and using data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and gather requirements from operational teams.
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple automation projects simultaneously while maintaining quality.
20% understanding of Operations and Support domain knowledge (customer service workflows, SLA management, ticket lifecycle) combined with 80% engineering expertise.
Passionate about using AI and automation to solve real-world operational challenges, ideally with experience in fintech or SaaS environments.
