What you'll be doing

Analyze and document Finance and Strategy workflows including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis processes to identify high-impact automation opportunities.
Build sophisticated n8n workflows that automate financial data aggregation, reconciliation processes, budget tracking, variance analysis, and executive reporting.
Leverage Exa for market research and competitive intelligence, Pinecone for semantic analysis of financial documents, and Hex for advanced financial modeling and scenario planning.
Develop Python and JavaScript solutions for automated financial calculations, data validation, anomaly detection, and dynamic dashboards that provide real-time financial insights.
Partner with Finance, Strategy, and Executive teams to understand strategic planning needs and create automation that enhances decision-making speed and accuracy.
Design and implement data models for financial metrics, KPIs, unit economics, cohort analysis, and strategic planning frameworks that support business intelligence.
Create AI-powered tools for financial forecasting, cash flow prediction, burn rate monitoring, and automated variance commentary generation.
Integrate financial systems (ERP, accounting software, banking APIs, payment processors) with business intelligence tools to create unified financial data infrastructure.
Establish governance and monitoring for financial automation, ensuring data accuracy, compliance with financial controls, and continuous improvement of automated processes.

Who we are looking for

A technically proficient analyst with 3-5+ years of experience in financial analytics, FP&A, data engineering, or business intelligence with strong programming skills.
Advanced proficiency in Python and JavaScript for building financial models, data pipelines, API integrations, and automation scripts.
Demonstrated experience with workflow automation platforms, particularly n8n, or similar tools used in financial process automation.
Working knowledge of AI/ML tools including Exa, Pinecone, Hex, or comparable platforms for intelligent financial analysis and insights generation.
Deep understanding of API integrations, data architectures, and building secure, reliable automation for financial data handling.
Experience with financial systems and tools such as ERP platforms, accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero), or business intelligence tools (Tableau, Looker) is a strong plus.
Expert in financial data modeling with the ability to structure complex financial datasets, create normalized database schemas, and design scalable analytics frameworks.
Strong analytical skills with experience in financial statement analysis, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, particularly when automating financial processes with compliance and audit implications.
Clear communicator capable of presenting complex financial and technical concepts to executives and translating strategic goals into technical requirements.
20% finance and strategy domain expertise (understanding financial operations, strategic planning frameworks, unit economics, business models) combined with 80% technical engineering capabilities.
Driven by the opportunity to use AI to elevate financial intelligence and strategic decision-making, ideally with experience in fintech or high-growth startup finance environments.
